NEED a job doing at your school, charity or community group?

If so, the biggest branch of Sainsbury’s in the area is offering help.

Contractors carrying out work on Sainsbury’s Talbot Heath will provide labour worth up to £1,000 to a local good cause, via the Daily Echo.

The store at Alder Hills is having the work done to expand its online offering. The work is due to be finished by the end of April and will create more jobs to add to the 400 staff already employed at the store.

Store manager Gordon Silvester said: “The current work being undertaken here at the store will not affect customers or any of the wildlife that surrounds our store.

“The current expansion to our online department will see a completely new building that is not connected to any of our customer or stock areas.

“We are involved with a number of great charity projects and are extremely delighted to be able to donate our building company’s labour workforce to improve the environment for a local school, a local charity or a local community group.”

Sainsbury’s is offering the work to a school, charity or community group which is looking to improve its environment.

The donation covers work such as painting, decorating, landscaping, DIY, creating storage rooms/shelving, installing partition walls, paving or resurfacing works, installation of new flooring, units and lighting etc.

All work will be carried out by a major local construction company.

To apply, email to prl.talbotheath@sainsburys.co.uk

You should say what work needs doing, why Sainsbury’s should pick your school, charity or community group, and how the work will benefit your organisation.

All work must be able to be completed by the end of March this year.
