POLICE are continuing their investigation into a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Wimborne Road in Poole on Thursday.
A gold Peugeot 206 struck a 14-year-old boy from Poole on the busy main road through Oakdale, which has left the teen with injuries which have been described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The driver of the car, which a Dorset Police spokesperson said is a local man in his 50s, did not receive any injuries and is continuing to assist police with their enquiries.
On Thursday, PC Lee Savage said at the scene of the incident that they are aware that there were other vehicles in the area at the time of the incident.
He appealed for the drivers of those vehicles to contact PC 287 Gatfield of Poole Traffic Police on 101.
