No complaints from Krasner
 |
| REACTION; Gerald Krasner |
CHERRIES administrator Gerald Krasner last night insisted the Football League's decision to dock the troubled club 17 points was "slightly better" than could have been expected.
The punishment is the same as the one inflicted on League Two rivals Rotherham and three points better than the 20-point handicap received by Luton Town.
After being informed of the news by the Daily Echo, Krasner said: "The fans should be pleased because it means there will be a match on Saturday.
"The punishment is in line with what Rotherham got and better than what Luton got. On that basis, I've got no complaints with it.
"The fans must be realistic and, on balance, this is slightly better than could have been expected, bearing in mind Luton's decision."
As part of the Football League board's offer, Cherries must provide a legal waiver indicating that they will not challenge or appeal the decision, as well as pay unsecured creditors the amount offered at the time of the CVA hearing (approximately 10p in the pound).
It is understood the total amount needed to deal with the club's creditors is about £500,000.
The club have to agree to the offer by noon today.

No complaints from Gerald as he disappears into the sunset with a few extra pounds on his person, and in his pockets.

The proposed CVA payout was to take about a year.
I presume this one will be much longer.

No complaints from Kranser but we have a lot of complaints about his involvement in this debacle.

'After being informed of the news by the daily echo', so they did know how to contact him all along. Why then werent some serious questions asked, instead of the bog-standard 'Mostyn was unavailable for comment' being rolled out every few days. If the new team in place are as open with their comments as it seems at present, can I suggest to the echo that they acquire some mobile numbers now or is that asking too much.

be interesting to compare:
(a) loss of income from relegation and cost of paying chubby cheeks his fee as well as cheap sale of Vokes against
(b) paying off inland revenue at the time last year, continuing to trade until kick off 2008/9 then going to admin to clear other debts, agreeing CVA given main creditor against would be out of the picture
no doubt when all accounts are filed we will be able to see. Unless of course the transparent new owners can set this out for us.
Still, here we go...

Does not appear the he has followed the point deduction very well. Leeds got 15 points and they deiberately went into administration to avoid paying huge debts then sold the club back to the original owner for £1 not exactly the actions of AFCB. But then he was leeds. Hope he is on his bike soon goodbye and good riddance

He's hindered the running of the club for long enough.
