KRASNER REVEALS NEW BID
BRIEFING: Gerald Krasner
BRIEFING: Gerald Krasner
GERALD Krasner this afternoon revealed a fresh bid for Cherries as the club's takeover saga took another twist.

The club's administrator, in a press briefing at Dean Court, told journalists how he had received a second bid for the ailing club on Monday night.

Begbies Traynor official Krasner, however, said he considered the second proposal to be weaker than the offer from preferred bidder Jeff Mostyn.

But Krasner did confirm that, should Mostyn's bid not proceed, he would consider the other offer.

He would not be drawn on the names of those behind the new offer.

Meanwhile, Mostyn's consortium is hopeful of submitting its proposals for the transfer of the Football League share by Friday.

Mostyn also introduced new chief executive Alistair Saverimutto to the media, who revealed his plans to take the club forward.

Saverimutto, who wishes to be known as 'Savi', was appointed by Mostyn with Krasner's permission and told the press he intends to run the club as a business.

Krasner, meanwhile, confirmed that several of the football club's external contracts had been terminated, including those with Bourne Red and Sodexho.

For christ sake will somebody have the balls to be straight with the supporters, it's like being in a kids play ground.I've supported this team for over 30 years, but the way things are going no way will i renew my season ticket till we have some concrete evidence we're going to have a team to support. Im not interested in what division we're in just want to know we'll have a team in a division.!!!!!!!

Another Offer. Surely must have come in the last week or Porky should have mentioned it last week. "If Mostyn's offer cannot go forward" what is that supposed to mean. I'm tired of the cloak and dagger stuff - Lard Ars* do what you are being paid for. Sort it out. NOW!

How the hell can a new CEO be appointed if we don't yet know if Mostyn's offer will def move forward?

I was about to renew season ticket but until we are treated like adults, my money is staying where it is.

WE must be the only organisation that has a press conference that leaves People knowing less than they knew before. Where has this other offer come from UI thopught Krassner said ages ago when the other deal collapsed that Jeff Mostyn was the only alternative as nobody else including Mostyn had put an offer in. Now why is he allowing another offer if he is so sure that Jeffs is going to solve the Clubs problems very worrying unless I have misunderstood what Krassner said a couple of months ago. Also why keep the other bidder a secret ?

According to hits on google he's an ex-rugby union player, has/had an agency representing 50 rugby internationals, ran New Brighton Rugby Club for two years before giving up to spend more time as commercial directory of Everton.

Still not sure what to make of him.

Would like to hear the football club will be run like a football club, rather than that tired old 'as a business' that everyone says and as yet have failed to deliver. Focus on the core business, success on the field and the rest will follow.

Yes Mr Saverimutto played for Bath Bristol and Gloucster before retiring to take up his agency company.
I would be more interested in who the other bid is from. I wounder if the echo can do some real work and find out who it is?

Picture looks like another copier salesman to me. If installed as a commercial bod for Everton lets hope he can run the commercial side of AFCB alot better than it is at the moment. Talking to Corporate holders and season ticket holders would be a good start!!!

Tune in next week same Lard A**e time same lard A**e channel. Still not sure we are any closer to survival. Lodge the papers at the Football league on Friday night they won't even look at them until Monday only one month to go after that. Cutting it fine.

His intent is to run the club like a business and take the club forward.

A wise owl taught me to recognise what was not said rather than what was said, based upon the above transcipt I would suggest that the club is in trouble, and there may those looking to bail out. I think it is high time that the ST stood up for its members and be counted, there are a lot questions that appear not to have been asked that need to be.......

I thought bidding had closed weeks ago, or is it that he doesnt have much confidence in mostyns bid so he is looking at others. How did the new bidders know they could put a bid in unless they had contact with Buddha Krasner ? Echo, do some investigating for once instead of writing stuff that we could find out for ourselves, yes I know thats a big ask but have a go anyway, you might enjoy it !!!!

If you Google Savi' you'll see he's very aware of the commerical opportunities open to sports clubs.

He was the one who got Chang to sponsor Everton, made money on youth players at a small rugby club, and according to other AFCB sites got us better catering deals AND refused to work with 'others' with Luton connections.

Of course the failure of Ohec, the ST, etc to ask pertinant questions is poor but what did you expect?

We're not out the mire yet but I feel better than I did a week ago, and especially a month back!

A success football club is run in one of two ways; a toy to a rich owner or a business.

When you say you want it run "as a football club" do you mean that you want the club to take massive risks and financially overextend in the hope there is enough success on the pitch to recover from debt it's incurred getting there?

'I would suggest the club is in trouble'!!!!

Wherever would you get an idea like that? Maybe the fact has been in admin since February, or the players had to defer 50% of their wages, or a lot of people were laid off, or the takeover pantomime has dragged on and on with numerous investors backing out!!!???!!!

That has to be the understatement of the year!

When will we know if Mostyns bid is going forward time surely is running out, Are the other bidders getting stuff in place to step in if he does what he did last time because if not we wont get our share back and thats the end of us. I am heartened to read about this Savermuttos track record at Everton but it will count for nothing if the bid doesnt go through. And Kudos is right we cant be run like some Clubs and take risks based on what may happen we must budget for what we can achieve. I wonder who the other bidder is

Hoped that the players contracts would be on the table and SIGNED on July 1st. If this pantomime drags on much longer will we be watching the youth team and trialists play the friendlies.... or will Danny, Darren,Marvin,Brett and Shaun all be playing as non contract players or indeed will they all still be here?

Well if Savi has been choosy about those he works with as you suggest then that is a plus point, and if he got everton a big sponser then that's another plus and I hope he can do it here.

I'm still concerned by the 'hope to submit a proposal to the FL' I would have thought with four days to go it would have been 'will be submitting ....'.

I just have a feeling there are lots more twists and turns to come yet.

what a complete letdown, Mr Mostyn has now pemission to staff the club but his deal has not yet gone through. how are we expected to understand what is going on when the people concerned do not appear to know, after last weeks non event most people would have thought that the big step Krasnar was talking about would have been Mostyn putting down the balance of the money and finally taking control, you cannot run the club on spec it has to be hands on and quickly, and why does Krasnar every time he opens his mouth say somthing which condradicts what he has said before, there was no need to mention the new offer if Mostyns bid was on the verge of going through, surely if Mostyns bid goes through he can then take the club out of administration, and present his case to the league free of all financial constraints, for the sake of peoples sanity and for us to be able to give the new owners a chance to prove themselves PLEASE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL WHAT IS GOING ON

Well I suppose the out-of-contract players are, as of today, just that - out of contract.

I suppose as nothing is signed there is nothing to stop them signing for anyone now. As Krasner himself raised this suggestion of "if Mostyn's offer cannot go forward" which would suggest it's not all done and dusted yet, who could blame them for looking round?

Seems that this Savi fella has arranged a new catering deal worth more than the original contract deal ousted by admin.

Sounds good but could be worrying if this money has already been used to continue funding admin and the takeover. as would that mean most of it is already gone.

Not sure what all the panic is about, nothing very much was ever going to happen today - it will have to wait until after next weeks FA Meeting, when hopefully a decision will be made on the business plan and the return of the "Golden" share. On the positive side, Mostyn has confirmed that the funding is in place to take the Club forward, the plan goes to the FA at the end of the week and the CEO seems to be of a good standard. Am afraid that we will just have to be patient

From Mostyns consortiums point of view perhaps they wont tell us what they are up to because they are afraid that mere mortals such as us would not understand what they are doing, Or more likely they are afraid we will understand

are we watching "Groundhog Day" I have never known two press conferences where at the end of them we know less about what is going on than we did previously. I realise the Krasner would not lower himself to read what the fans think but we need to keep writing. Last week he said I am coming to hopefully finalise the deal on the table. I will be "hopefully" be introducing Jeff Mostyns partners. Instead he breaks te news that he has had another offer for our club. And made it clear that maybe we have not got a done deal. I think that it is time that the FA looks into the way that our administration has been handled Come on club officials we are all grownups and can understand that there will be ups and downs so give us the truth warts and all and we will be happy

Like many above I am totally confused about what is/is not going on at the club.
