TOMORROW night will see Bournemouth welcome 3,000 party people to The Block Party multi-venue music festival in the Lansdowne area.

Taking place across eight venues the event will see performances from over 50 artists, including a crop of globe-trotting international talent and hotly tipped UK acts from across the spectrum of electronic music.

One wristband allows access to venues with the chance to see big names performing in intimate clubs, bars and spaces. Spanning genres from house to drum and bass, techno and all points in-between, the event promises to showcase the best in cutting edge electronic music styles.

Heading up the bill is breakthrough producer Route 94 who shot number one earlier this year with his club smash My Love. The 20-year-old, takes his name from the US highway running between Chicago – the birthplace of house – and home of techno Detroit.

Also on the bill is an exclusive appearance from New York techno duo The Martinez Brothers, Dirtybird Record’s Shadow Child, pictured, Polish house imports Catz ‘N Dogz plus drum & bass stalwarts TC and Brookes Brothers. The bill also features future-bass artists Kidnap Kid, Bodhi and Melé joined by new Hot Creations talent wAFF and Alexis Raphael.

The event also plays host to some of the best local and regional DJ talent, hand-picked from across the Bournemouth and South Coast scene.

Other attractions at the event include a silent disco, pop-up venues, secret guests and interactive areas. A new daytime party is also set to take place before the main night time event.

The Block Party is now in its sixth year and has a long reputation for early career performances from big names artists such as SBTRKT, Example, Duke Dumont, Breach, Nero and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs to name a few.
