FOLK On The Quay in Poole is a new festival taking place on Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30.

The idea was brought together by the landlords of the pubs, Poole Tourism and folk music organisers Cath-erine and Paul Burke.

Internationally renowned folk acts, four stages, afternoon street ceilidhs, and morris dancers – it’s going to be a cracker!

Spiers and Boden (founder members of Bellowhead and BBC Folk Award Best Duo) headline the Saturday night show and it is set to be a great night of music all-round.

  •  Buffalo Gals return to our stomping ground and bring their intoxicating American roots style to Lighthouse in Poole on June 22.

Their style, incorporating Appalachian, Blues, Gospel, early Bluegrass, and novel-ties from the heyday of early country music, is punctuated with the stunning and thrillingly syncopated step-dance that has become one of their trademarks.

They appeal to audiences of all ages and types, whether they be aficionados of oldtime country music or completely new to its charms.

The gig starts at 8pm, call 0844 406 8666 for tickets.
