ORGANISERS of Poole Harbour Festival have just released more tickets for sale.

Keen to make every pound count, local families have been snapping up great value family tickets for the annual Poole Harbour Festival taking place – so much so that organisers have released a limited number of extras.

After the success of last year’s first event, this year’s three-day festival running from Friday, July 28, Saturday 29, and Sunday 30 will be bigger and better with even more amazing food and fantastic music that all the family can enjoy.

Family tickets are priced just £30 for two adults and two children; while individual family day tickets are also on sale at £15*.

“Unlike the big festivals, which are a lot of money especially when families are on a budget, we’re offering brilliant value and something for everyone,” said Poole Harbour Festival organiser Ben Dyas.

“What’s the point of spending £500 on a family ticket for a major festival when you can have just as much fun, if not more, by the side of beautiful Poole Harbour at a fraction of the cost?”

Poole Harbour Festival’s unique blend of street food from around the world and the very best in live music struck a chord with locals and visitors alike last year, prompting organisers Immense Events to add an extra day of attractions to the line up.

The three-day festival at Harbourside Park in Poole offers a full weekend’s entertainment for all the family with a stunning bill of top tribute acts as well as the best local bands. Also on the menu is a mouth-watering array of artisan-produced international street foods with 40 stalls offering the best in world foods, local produce and crafts.

“We wanted to do something the whole family can enjoy together, that doesn’t finish too late but gives everyone a great day and a fun-packed night out,” said Ben.

The Ikle Eskimos giant igloo of fun is home to a wide range of free children’s entertainment with Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey Dragon, dance workshops, circus skills and a kids’ disco; while outside superstars like Peppa Pig and Elsa from Frozen will be on hand to meet the festival’s youngest revellers.

The live music programme kicks off on Friday, July 28 at 5pm with the main stage headlined by acclaimed tribute bands Coldplace and The Fillers. The over the weekend the main stage hosts the brilliant Rollin’ Clones, Tania Alboni’s astonishing Amy Winehouse show and the Ed Sheeran Experience starring the remarkable Jack Shepherd with support from amazing local bands, such as Saint of Sin and Remedy Sounds and a guest performance from Steve Brookstein, winner of the first X Factor in 2004.

There’s also stunning original music from Sian Evans, the voice of top ten band Kosheen who sang on the massive DJ Fresh hit ‘Louder’ and wrote Rita Ora’s chart topper ‘Hot Right Now’. She will be showcasing music from her latest project as well as revisiting her stellar back catalogue.

The Harry Rocks beer tent features more than 20 ales and ciders many produced by local craft brewers and artisan cider makers, as well as wines and a full range of spirits and soft drinks; while the festival’s bespoke HarBar – a converted shipping container – is right next to the main stage and packed to the gunwales so there’s no need to miss any of the entertainment.
