BACK on the road after the sell-out success of his month-long run at the Edinburgh Festival last year, Canadian comedian Tom Stade returns to the Lighthouse in Poole with his brand new show on Friday, May 20.

Star of BBC One’s Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Tom instantly made a splash on the UK circuit with his magnetic stage presence, irrepressible charm and first class storytelling, and after years topping the bill and playing at international comedy festivals around the globe, he is now established as a leading touring act in his own right.

Regarded as one of hottest stand-ups going, he has earned a reputation as one of the most original and exciting comic talents around.

Originally from British Columbia, Tom is now a full time UK resident.

In Tom’s, You’re Welcome show - which takes in 60 dates - he playfully explores his escalating Britishness, finding a rich source of material in the differences between the UK and his homeland; citing everything from crossing the road (jay walking in his native Canada) to the daytime TV shows he’s become so fascinated by.

With this refreshingly straightforward approach and skilful interaction, Tom welcomes audiences into his world, striding the stage with his trademark rock ‘n’ roll attitude and copious amounts of charm.

Delivered with customary Stade flair, the new show promises uncompromising humour, insatiable mischief and heaps of inspired improvisation.

As Tom himself told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: “People of Poole - and the surrounding areas - You’re welcome!”
