FAMILY entertainment doesn’t get much more dramatic than the Moscow State Circus, which returns to the Lighthouse Poole in the half term break from February 20-22.
As you’d expect, the show boasts ever more impressive acrobatics, clowning and aerial feats.
Set in the mystical centre of Moscow’s cultural and artistic quarter, Park Gorkogo (Gorky Park) is the perfect backdrop for what is perhaps the greatest and most famous circus on earth.
Clowns Pavlik and Klava invite you to this wondrous and mysterious place to witness some magnificent feats of human achievement.
This year’s show features the unbelievable rollerskating of the Veslovskis, Yakovlev vertical pole jugglers and the most demanding feats of strength from the hand balancing of Vladislav Khostik.
Not to mention the gorgeous and graceful aerial skills of Tatiana Goncharova, the Kozak whip crackers and the revolving Russian Swing, catapulting its 10-strong troupe high into the apex of the auditorium at breakneck speed.
