ANYONE wanting to see Shakespeare live on stage from the Bard’s birthplace can see it in cinemas in the south next month.
The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of the comedy Two Gentlemen of Verona will be filmed from Stratford-upon-Avon.
Simon Godwin, associate director of the Royal Court, makes his RSC debut to direct Shakespeare’s exuberant romantic comedy.
This is the first time in 45 years that The Two Gentlemen of Verona has been performed in full production on the Royal Shakespeare Theatre stage.
It will be screened at the Regent Centre in Christchurch on Wednesday, September 3, at 7pm.
