BOURNEMOUTH audiences will be whisked to Neverland this Christmas, with Peter Pan revealed as the Bournemouth Pavilion pantomime.

Two of the first stars to be confirmed are children’s favourite and Blue Peter Presenter Barney Harwood who will be playing Peter Pan alongside actor Mark Benton as Captain Hook.

Barney Harwood is no stranger to pantomime having played the part several times previously including at the Pavilion in 2008. He has also played many other roles in pantomimes over the years.

Barney is one of the best known faces on children’s television having presented many of CBBC’s top programmes including Blue Peter. While Mark Benton is fresh from the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing and is well known for his role as Mr Chalke in BBC1’s Waterloo Road.

Mark also recently starred in the UK touring production of hit show, Hairspray as Edna Turnblad, so he definitely is at ease with being on stage.

Peter Pan will run from December 6 to January 4, for what promises to be another brilliant pantomime at Bournemouth Pavilion, with over 7000 tickets sold already, this year’s pantomime is looking busier than ever.
