I TRY to take something home-made for my lunch at work each day, but needless to say I don't always succeed.
Happily there are plenty of tasty alternatives to be found at Flavour, just a few steps from the Echo offices in Albert Road.
It's a great little place with friendly staff who create wonderful rolls, wraps, sandwiches and soups – the carrot and coriander is my favourite.
Usually I take my lunch away from Flavour, but when my husband and I found ourselves in town one chilly Saturday morning, we took a seat and tried out their breakfast options.
Both opting for a full English, the breakfast arrived with bacon, sausages, fried egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. There’s a selection of newspapers to read while you're waiting and we sipped mugs of tea as our breakfasts were cooked. Nicely presented, the food was piping hot and delicious – it was a breakfast that set us up for the day.
So if you're in town and your stomach is rumbling it's worth nipping in to Flavour, you won't be disappointed. Our two breakfasts with teas cost £11.
