Now you can bag a booth at Patrick's

Patrick’s restaurant and bar in Ashley Cross, Lower Parkstone, has done more than offer its customers an ingenious spring menu, it has also installed a further two luxurious seating booths with walnut trim in which to enjoy the new season delights.

The new booths, which seat up to six guests each, are positioned in the bar in a continuous row from the original four booths that are in the restaurant area.

Owner and proprietor Patrick Michael said: “The booths in the restaurant are always the first tables to be booked and so it was a natural development to refit part of the bar with another two booths, which have become particularly popular – especially at lunch.

“The new menu has been met with some superb feedback and with the new extended dining area we really have hit on a recipe for success!”

He continued: “The new year can be a hard time in the catering business and the snow didn’t help. Fortunately we were refurbishing at the time of the worst weather and more recently we have enjoyed a number of larger parties – both buffet and sit-down – so January saw a great start for us in 2010.”

The new menu sees winter warmers such as steak, Guinness and mushroom pie, alongside roast loin of venison. Seafood specialities include a baked fillet of brill with a crab and ginger crust, and new desserts include a stunning triple chocolate brownie, vanilla Anglaise and ice cream.

The renovations include a new DJ console that complements the music policy at Patrick’s, which now sees live music every Thursday night and a DJ every Friday and Saturday night.

The improvements represent a five-figure investment and were installed by local firms Craftwood Interiors, J Dunn Builders and Shearing Electrical Contractors.
