DORSET'S hottest food festival looks set to be bigger and better than ever this year with all the right ingredients to tingle the tastebuds.

The Cheese & Chilli Festival at the Parley Manor Estate will showcase an array of quality local and regional cheeses and chilli-based food and chilli-inspired products from all over the world,

There will also be a selection of artisan food stalls plus a craft fair and a shopping village offering a wide range of quality and unusual locally produced crafts.

And if you need to cool down your tastebuds there will be a Real Ale Bar available throughout the weekend from the local Downton Brewery and the Real Deal Cider bar supplied by Worley’s Cider.

The tasty two-day event will also include a number of live music acts including a Samba band which will be hosting a free Samba workshop and a children’s procession.

Other highlights include the infamous chilli eating competition, falconry display, demonstrations plus plenty of children's entertainment with face painting, stilt walkers, balloon modelling, circus skills, magic shows and a traditional Punch & Judy act.

Festival organiser Simon Stewart said: “The Cheese & Chilli shows in 2015 were a real success. We’ve added additional features to make sure these events are even better than last year such as more music, more unusual products, a chilli sauce competition, children’s activities including a treasure hunt, music workshops and various other activities. Many of the activities are also free so even more reason to come along with the family for a great day out!”

Admission: Children free, adults £5 in advance or £7 on the door. Concessions for older people and carers.

The Cheese & Chilli Festival will take place over the weekend of June 11-12 from 10am to late on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. For more information, see cheeseandchillifestival.com.
