Masterchef winner Shelina Permalloo is opening a Mauritian Street Kitchen restuarant in Southampton.
The chef - who wowed the TV judges in 2012 with her beautiful, spicy, refined street food - is opening her first restaurant, called Lakaz Maman, on Bedford Place in the city.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: Hey everyone ! The dream being reality is close! I've had a nightmare trying to get this restaurant sorted but the paint is on, furniture in and finally got the menu sorted.
"We are ready to open soon so watch this space - it's definitely this month and I'll be opening with some offers as well. Cannot wait to share this amazing adventure with you @lakazmamancoming to you this month.
"Massive thank you to those who have supported me and have been there through all the ups and downs and massive moments of anxiety! To my family and friends who mean the world to me nothing is possible without you xxx
