PUB-GOERS can now enjoy 10 real ales from across the world alongside a selection of beers from the UK during a 17-day festival at 10 pubs across the area.

The festival, which launched last night, will run until Sunday, March 29, with all beers priced from £2.05 to £2.55 a pint.

The Moon in the Square manager, Terri Balloni, said: “The festival is the perfect opportunity to showcase the wonderful range of British-grown hop varieties and support British hop farmers.

“It will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers, many of which have not been served in the pub before.

“The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that my customers will enjoy themselves.”

The festival will feature seasonal and unusual beers, with many brewed for the first time exclusively for the festival.

Each of the beers has been brewed using only British-grown hop varieties.

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint.

The pubs participating in the event are: The Moon in the Square in Exeter Road, The Mary Shelly in The Quadrant Centre and The Christopher Creek in Holdenhurst Road, all in Bournemouth; The Sir Percy Florence Shelley in Christchurch Road, Boscombe; The Nightjar in Victoria Road, Ferndown; The Parklands and Heatherlands in Wimborne Road, Winton; The Man in the Wall in West Borough, Wimborne; The Blackwater Stream in Lower Blandford Road, Broadstone; The Lord Wimbourne in Lagland Street and The Quay in The Quay, both in Poole.

The overseas beers that will be on offer at the event have been sourced from brewers in Brazil, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, USA, Spain, Ireland and Australia.
