IT’S known as the cook’s cheat shop, so no doubt customers at Cook in Westbourne will be relieved to hear that the store is finally reopening its doors today.

The popular shop which sells upmarket frozen food, has been closed for refit after flash floods brought the ceiling down in July.

Store owner Elaine Sullman told Taste: “It has been a long, bumpy and frustrating journey since the floods in July. However, we’ve made it through and we are urging our customers and shoppers to come and rediscover Cook in Westbourne and stock up for the festive period.”

The unique store which is part of the Cook franchise prides itself on its hand-made dishes, which are prepared using the same ingredients and techniques that you would at home, so that everything looks and tastes homemade.

Even Queen of the British High Street, Mary Portas, was reported as saying: “Cooks frozen meals look and taste like they’ve been home-cooked with love and flair!”

Cook offers a wide range of party essentials including canapes, and handmade pates.

It is also offering a stress-free Christmas lunch, which feeds eight people for £100 and is ready in less than three hours.
