A DORSET woman who turned her love of the vegan life-style in to a business has won an award.

Emma Fry’s Veganbnb Travel, which offers trips that focus on fitness, creative cooking and organic farming, has won a Compassionate Business Award.

Emma’s first step came in 2012, when she opened a vegan bed and breakfast in Spain.

But realising there was such a huge demand, Emma decided to create Veganbnb Travel, a site for vegans who want to venture to both Spain and Guatemala.

Now PETA (People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has given the business this award. Emma said: “I couldn’t imagine a life without travel and came to realise that there were other people out there like myself – people who love to travel and explore, people who get excited at the idea of a kale bagel and green smoothie for breakfast, people who look behind the label and decide to live compassionately “I want to help people by providing a unique service whilst sharing my knowledge and experience of Guatemala and Spain in a lovely vegan-friendly environment.”
