AFTER their national debut in the Channel Five series, The Hotel Inspector, Tara and Pamela Howard will be returning to our TV screens on Tuesday (Jan 23) But this time the film crew is focusing on food rather than any fall-outs between mother and daughter!

The pair who run the historic Langtry Manor Hotel in Bournemouth, have allowed the TV cameras back again for a brand new series called A Taste of the South.

Viewers from Kent to Somerset will be able to see the new series on ITV1 Meridian at 7.30pm on Tuesday which showcases the Langtry's famous six course Edwardian buffet.

All the staff dress in period costume and bring each course to the table on large platters so diners can choose their favourite dishes.

Guests are also treated to a ten-minute repertoire with words and music on The Life of Lily Langtry before tucking into their main course followed by a choice of five decadent deserts.

Tara Howard who is still receiving fan mail after appearing in a Jacuzzi in The Hotel Inspector, said they were very proud to have been chosen to appear in the series.

"It is all good publicity for the hotel. We have seen a rise in our profits of more than 15 per cent since we took part in The Hotel Inspector!

"Our aim is to ensure everyone has a good time. In my opinion everyone should experience the buffet at least once."

The presenter Hannah Scott-Joynt said the Langtry was chosen over other hotels and restaurants in the area for its exquisite food and service.

"The Langtry has accolades in the Guardian Good Food Guide and many other publications and they did not let is down. We had a great time filming and I will most certainly be back to experience the food again in the future."
