Kate Garraway has said she has “come to terms” with never having another baby after waiting until her late 30s to start a family.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 49, had her two children at 38 and 42 and has previously been open about her desire for a third child.

But Kate, mother to daughter Darcey, 11, and son Billy, seven, has now told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine: “I’ve hugely come to terms with not having another baby.

“I would hate Darcey and Billy to think that somehow they weren’t enough.”

Kate, who turns 50 in May, continued: “I’m nearly 50, so there has to be a reality check.

“I loved having children and started relatively late.

“I would have loved more, but I know that’s extremely greedy.

“I’m very lucky to have had children, considering my age, with relative ease, compared with what some people go through.”

But the TV star joked that although she has got rid of many baby items she cannot bring herself to give away the pram.

“Do you think I need to give that away on my 50th birthday?” she said. “I keep arguing with Derek (husband Derek Draper) that I’ll keep it for the grandchildren.”
