TICKETS are now sold out for performance ‘punk’ poet John Cooper Clarke at Bridport Arts Centre on Monday, November 25.
Having secured a unique place in pop culture, he is studied on school syllabuses, and is cited by contemporary artists such as Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys as a major influence.
He is more present than ever.
His work has been used on The Sopranos, he has appeared recently in the award-winning biopic Control, and recently on BBC’s Have I Got News For You.
The show will be a hilarious romp through his most famous works, including the classics Evidently Chickentown & Beasley St, a plethora of new poems and side-splitting gags alongside genius comic observations.
John’s special guest is his old friend and fellow Manchester poet Mike Garry.
