Young’s Fitness gym at Osprey Quay is running a TRX-A-Thon in partnership with Tesco, Portland The feat will see fundraisers storming into the New Year by using two heavy duty straps with hand grips that can attach to anything!

The fitness club is giving away more than £400 worth of memberships to help raise money for the charity.

ENJOY some New Year sale shopping or blow away the New Year cobwebs with a stroll on the beach in Swanage tomorrow, where town council-run Main Beach and Broad Road car parks are free.

WARM up by getting involved in some essential habitat and estates management at RSPB Arne near Wareham on Sunday.

Join the RSPB officers for a Heathland Bash from 10am to 3pm. All are welcome and training and tools are provided You may be cutting down scrub, fencing, burning, creating bare ground for inverts and reptiles, who knows? This event is free and no booking is required. Call 01929 553360 for details.

ON Thursday, enjoy Birds, Biscuits and Binoculars at Upton Country Park near Poole from 10am to 2.30pm. Join RSPB’s SJ for an exciting and sociable walk to explore the wildlife that can be found in and around the park.

Don’t worry if you don’t know the difference between a robin or a blackbird.

Relax with a hot beverage and biscuit to round it off! £2 per person.

THERE’S still time to tickle those funny bones and catch Weymouth pantomime Aladdin at Weymouth Pavilion.
