When celebrities endorse a beauty range or a certain product, they are the crucial, annoyingly gorgeous ingredients when it comes to sales.

After all, just the sight of Brad Pitt for Chanel No.5 and we believe that if it’s good enough for Brad, it’s good enough for the man in our lives!

I thought we’d investigate the latest and up-coming celebrity beauty collaborations, whether it be make-up or fragrances, to not only be in the beauty know, but to get gift inspiration, as that magical time of year is just around the corner.

Pop sensation Rihanna is getting us in the festive spirit by giving beauty buffs the breaking news of her exciting fresh make-up collection for MAC Cosmetics that is due to launch globally next month.

The holiday collection is made up of rich festive red hues, with a blush-toned palette accompanying the rouge lipstick and nail polish. I say the new line looks set to be a must-have for the party season, but Rihanna’s not wrong when she says you’ll have to be quick!

Over at make-up giants Bobbi Brown, actress Katie Holmes continues as the face of the beauty company, this time all made up and dressed in a festive, red, lace cutout dress by Fabiola Arias, celebrating and campaigning their Old Hollywood collection of beautiful makeup.

Looking fierce and flawless in the retrostyled holiday ad campaign, Holmes recently expanded her contract with Bobbi Brown by debuting a cosmetic collaboration with the beauty brand, called Bobbi & Katie. You can discover her latest range in Bournemouth’s Debenhams or House of Fraser.

Ultimate fashionista and a now style icon, Alexa Chung, has unveiled her first collection for Eyeko. While the Eye Do liner and mascara continue the brand's love affair with eye make-up, the packaging certainly has the Alexa touch.

Chung worked closely with the brand to create the two new products, decorating both the packaging and the products themselves with her own handwriting and drawings. The Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner is waterproof and opaque black, whilst the mascara is water resistant and packed with vitamins A and E, keratin, ginkgo biloba and botanical proteins.

The New Face of Chanel No.5 may come as a surprise to some. Famous faces including Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou have all fronted Chanel No.5 campaigns, but the latest face to capture the heart (and smell) of the classic famous fragrance is none other than Marilyn Monroe.

Due to launch in December, new print and television campaigns will centre around the late actress’s famous declaration that she wore nothing in bed but a few drops of Chanel No.5, after the fashion house discovered an unreleased recording capturing Monroe’s original words. Watch this space!

Moving swiftly over to L’Oréal Paris, it has been confirmed that Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively is the new global spokesperson for the international beauty brand, in which she’ll be joining the likes of Freida Pinto, Cheryl Cole, Doutzen Kroes and the recently announced Lara Stone among others.

The stunning young actress seems to embody all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour, becoming a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop-dead smile. I’m not in the least bit envious of her!

To round this beauty blitz off nicely, Rimmel London has announced that it is collaborating with singer Rita Ora on a limited-edition make-up collection, which will launch next year. The exciting beauty range will include lip and nail products.

Beautiful times ahead!
