YOU Can’t Sleep On a Vertical Ironing Board is the sparkling new EP from the VORsome foursome - alternative rock band, Voice of Reason.

This is the band’s latest creatively titled musical offering, launched at their recent iBar show which invited fans to marvel in a whole new realm of original rock music that represents a highly individualistic, personal-yet-accessible musical style Voice of Reason are a solid part of a diverse community of local music talent in the Bournemouth and Poole area.

Supporting the band at their launch gig were Glasto act, The Joe Public, as well as Colony, Sepia Daze and newcomers to the metal scene, Dark Calling.

Each gave talented and high-energy performances, getting the whole crowd buzzing in this relatively intimate venue.

Taking final slot of the evening, Voice of Reason demonstrated their own unique showmanship, employing the voiceover of Peter Dickson (now we know why he mysteriously left E4...) to provide a comically rousing prelude to their equally exciting live performance.

With new tracks such as LMA, Set In Stone and Final Call, VOR are proving ever more impressive in their songwriting skills, effortlessly balancing talented musicianship and a professional level of production with a free-spirited quirkiness, reflected in their distinctive melodies and energetic riffs.

In short, VOR’s latest EP is a treat and had everyone moshing to its live performance. And to borrow a phrase from our favourite E4 icon, together they put on a ruddy good show.
