IT’S hard to pigeon-hole Kasabian, that’s for sure.

Whether headlining Glastonbury (as they did this year, you may have heard), or rocking the BIC on a Tuesday night, they certainly give it their all.

This is a real production, with flashing lights aplenty.

It’s difficult to define their sound. There’s rock, disco, electronic. But probably the best word is, simply, ‘big’.

Whether it’s LSF  – tonight’s closer – from 10 years ago, or eez-eh from this year, every Kasabian track is anthemic.

Tom Meighan is the archetypal frontman, oozing confidence and coolness, whereas Serge Pizzorno is the brains.

You can think of them as the Liam and Noel, if you like, and they both get their moment in the limelight in the live show.

But, a decade after their debut self-titled album, Kasabian were still as fresh as ever at the BIC, banging them out left, right and centre and making sure that the crowd got their money’s worth for their north-of-forty-quid ticket.

Their music is timeless, yet incredibly relevant all at the same time, with 10-year-old tracks like LSF having just as much impact as Bumblebee from 2014.

And that’s a talent, because I still love Kasabian as much now as I did when I was at university a decade ago. More, in fact.

If you need a word to sum them up, it’s eez-eh. Epic.
