The Vampires are back in town and ready to rock.

Steve Steinman and his Motley Crew have been on the road with this show for eleven years now and it is a credit to them all that it still looks as fresh and new as when it first started.

Everyone on the stage looked as though they were having a great time; that spread to the audience and pretty soon the whole crowd were joining in and having the time of their lives.

For anyone unfamiliar with the story, an innocent young girl named Pandora wanders into a bar looking for a job as the new singer unaware that it is owned by Count Rockula who is on the lookout for a new bride.

Over the next couple of hours the story unfolds with its fair share of tongue in cheek jokes, colourful characters and a selection of some of the greatest rock songs ever written.

The dancers, fire eaters, lights and pyrotechnics all add to the atmosphere with the main characters tying it all together with crowd interaction a plenty.

There are a fair few audience members who have made an effort and come along in costume all adding to the feel of the evening.

The songs are delivered by a band that could match anything currently out there touring and provide the power that drives the whole show along.

Of course the show ends with The Count getting the girl but then also getting an unexpected gift not only from Van Halensing but also from an overenthusiastic crowd member.

As with all good vampire tales The Count rises again and the scene is nicely set for the next instalment of the story.

There is still time to catch the tour before they hang up this particular set of fangs and I will definitely be back next year when the new production hits the road. See you there.
