BOUNCY Bristolian comedian Russell Howard brought his unique brand of sunny humour to the BIC on Sunday night.
Ending a sell-out three-night run at the venue, Howard, who is best known for his Good News and panel show Mock the Week, gets the audience involved straight away.
Launching straight in to the two-hour set with jokes about Boscombe and dogging in Throop, the 33-year-old’s chipper, upbeat style keeps the 4,000-strong crowd laughing from the beginning.
There's a lot of puerile humour here, but Howard's funny enough to carry it off.
Much of the show involves confessions about his inner wuss – from fears about the dark to worries about toilet habits, the comedian offers up glimpses into his most embarrassing moments.
But there’s a huge array of topics on the table, and Howard takes on everything from David Cameron to weddings and movie premiers via death threats from the EDL.
The material is diverse and surprising enough to keep the laughs coming.
And he's so likeable and fun that you support him all the way.
