ON the last date of their world tour, which started 10 months ago, Keane were ready to go out in style and make this one to remember.

Tom, Jesse Richard, and Tim played out on the BIC’s stage to a massive crowd who had turned out to see everything that a good band should be.

They write, they sing, they play their own instruments, and unlike many of their contemporaries, they don’t rely on special equipment to make their voices sound nice.

Strangeland, the name of their latest album, was emblazoned across a bright yellow sun for a background to the gig, and there were no other ‘set’ items, as people came to see the boys, and not a show.

Crystal Ball, Is It Any Wonder?, Sovereign Light Cafe, and Spiralling were all big crowd pleasers.

It is only when you see them live, that you realise how many records they have, and how seats they can still get an audience to fill.
