Brucie will be back on the dance floor for two Strictly specials this year.

Sir Bruce Forsyth, 87, stepped down as the full-time co-host of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 but promised fans he would not be gone for good.

And, just as he did last year, Brucie will return for the dance show’s two specials – Children in Need and the Christmas edition.

Announcing his retirement in early 2014, Sir Bruce said: “After 10 wonderful years and 11 series, I believe it is now the right time to step down from the rigours of presenting the Strictly live shows. I am very proud of what the show has achieved and confident it will entertain the nation for many years to come.”

Claudia Winkleman has joined Tess Daly as co-host of the main show, while former contestant Zoe Ball presents spin-off show It Takes Two.

This year’s celebrity contestants include singer and reality star Peter Andre, Corrie actress Georgia May Foote and crooner Daniel O’Donnell.

The celebrities will be paired with their professional dance partners during the launch show which will air on BBC One this Saturday, September 5.
