Nine series in to Britain’s Got Talent, we were sitting watching the semi-final, blithely assuming we’d seen everything the show could possibly have to offer.
Then a table with legs turned up, and we realised we were very, very wrong.
Our feelings exactly, Shannon.
Yes, this was part of Austrian magician Michael Late’s act – and it certainly stood out among the dancers, choirs and dogs.
The details of the actual magic trick are neither here nor there – in fact most of the audience didn’t even notice what it was, because all they saw was a table with legs strolling around the stage.
In fact, there’s now a movement for the table to win.
We agree. More tables with legs, fewer dancing dogs. Sort it out, Simon.
