AFTER a sold out BIC had been suitably warmed up by energetic support act, Example, the lights dimmed and Miss Allen emerged on stage wearing black suspenders and launched straight into Everyone's At It.
A slow burning set included covers of the Kaiser Chiefs, Oh My God, The Kooks, Naive, and the SOS band's Just Be Good To Me as well as all her big hits from debut album Alright, Still and new album It's Not Me, It's You.
A chatty Lily admitted to the crowd she may not be quite on top form as she was just getting over eight weeks of Laryngitis, but as she poured Guinness from her own private pump on stage and handed it down to her adoring fans in the front few rows, she giggled and laughed - fun personified.
Rapper Professor Green joined Lily on stage for a couple of re-worked tunes including a brilliant and surprising drum 'n' bass version of one of her biggest hits, Smile.
For the encore she re-emerged in her fourth outfit of the night to sing Britney Spears' Womaniser before ending the night with a rousing rendition of one of her most controversial songs to date - **** You Very Much, with the whole BIC audience on it's feet belting out the chorus.
