Talent brought to the Boyle

AS the sold-out BIC crowd rose to applaud the end of the Britain’s Got Talent Live tour, discussions began among the more cynical audience members as to which (if any) of the acts we’d still be hearing about in a year’s time.

The first name to chalk off is the one-dimensional yet mildly amusing DJ Talent, who opened the Grand Finale show by shouting “When I say Britain, you say talent!” over and over.

As amusing and much loved as they are, Sunday may also have been the final night of Stavros Flatley’s brief stage career. The father-and son-duo had the BIC clapping along but their act now seems as tired as Stavros senior after he launched his wig into the audience.

A guest appearance from Darth Jackson probably wasn’t the ideal MJ tribute, but it was amusing.

Susan Boyle milked the audience’s generous applause like a seasoned opera queen, while George Sampson mark two, Aidan Davis, managed to upstage last year’s winner.

Flawless were just that, yet deserved winners Diversity were always going to be the real stars of the show.
