THEY may have formed in 1985 “just for fun” but 28 years on and sixteen albums later Galahad have proven they're pretty serious about progressive rock.
The outfit, who recently returned from a stint performing at Mexico’s Baja Prog Festival, released Beyond the Realms of Euphoria, their eighth studio album, as a companion to long-player Battle Scars.
If the words prog rock conjure up thoughts of 15-minute songs trying to recreate the psychedelic sounds of the 70s, then the techno rhythms alongside crushing guitars on opener Salvation I-Overture will surprise you.
Muse comparisons will doubtless abound on ...And Secret Worlds and may not even be that hyperbolic.
Sure, they may not make it to Wembley but their ambitious space rock is highly accomplished and enveloping.
