LEGENDARY American crooner Tony Bennett and shock songstress Lady Gaga struck up their unlikely friendship in 2011, after performing at the Robin Hood Foundation gala in New York City.

They got on so well that they duetted on The Lady Is A Tramp, which featured on Bennett’s 2011 album Duets II, and talked of plans to record a jazz album together.

The result is Cheek To Cheek, featuring the pair belting out classic jazz standards such as Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, Irving Berlin’s Cheek To Cheek and Eden Ahbez’s Nature Boy.

The duo sparkle spectacularly on Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh’s Firefly, Irving Berlin’s Let’s Face The Music And Dance and Duke Ellington and Irving Mills’ It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing). Gaga also goes solo on Lush Life, while Bennett does it alone on Sophisticated Lady.
