TENTS are being pegged down and the camping stoves are already being fired up ready for another sell-out Camp Bestival .

The family friendly event at Lulworth Castle promises to be one big party for all ages yet again with so many different things on offer that visitors won’t know where to turn when they arrive inside the arena.

The headline acts have gone all funky with the likes of Kool and the Gang and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers and the party will crack on with Hot Chip and 1990s Madchester favourites Happy Mondays.

For the kids they’ve got newer acts aplenty including Stooshe and Rizzle Kicks. With such big names it will be rammed up front for them.

In fact you can expect the cheeky duo to be one of the top acts of the weekend.

A host of top DJs including organiser and Radio One DJ Rob da Bank and drum and bass Godfather LTJ Bukem will make sure that the party people feel at home too.

And as ever with Camp Bestival the young children will have plenty to tear into.

On top of favourites like Dick and Dom, Mr Tumble and Shrek the musical the families will have whole play areas and attractions to enjoy.

For something different the East Lulworth Literary Institute hosts a wealth of high culture events. The Roundhouse Poetry Collective will be there as well as the English national Ballet.

Camp Bestival always offers a host of interesting trade type attractions and this year they have brands like Cath Kidston displaying their wares so there are places for shopaholics too.

But as Rob da bank says many will just kick back and enjoy some time out.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to the big night of disco on Saturday – I think that will be unforgettable.

“But what I really love is wandering through the whole site seeing people having fun.

“There are some people who don’t give a monkeys for the music and just go along to have a right old knees-up with their family.

“It’s as if the line between the site and the camp site blurs and people are simply there camping with a bit of musical entertainment thrown in – although the entertainment is pretty spectacular.”
