THE highly acclaimed La Nova Singers bring a touch of class to Christmas with the first ever public music event to be held in the magnificent Gallery at Somerley House, near Ringwood tomorrow.
The Magical Chistmas Concert will find the 13-strong, all-female ensemble in period costume singing music by Vivaldi, Purcell, Schubert, Handel and Mozart in the first half; and, in evening attire, tackling well-known festive songs after the interval when the flautist, Steve Howard, will have a solo spot.
There will be vocal solos and duets as well as ensemble pieces, too.
The pianist is Christine Langton.
The house will be open from 6.45pm with mulled wine for the guests, a glass of wine during the interval and canapés after the concert.
Guests will be able to view some of the downstairs rooms where the refreshments will be served.
