DORSET’S Larmer Tree Festival returns this summer with a brand new stage area dedicated to up-and-coming performers.

The family-friendly festival set in Victorian gardens in the stunning landscape of the Cranborne Chase, now features The Chase stage.

This new stage will be championing the best in new music, showcasing artists such as Paris-based multiinstrumentalist Kate Stables performing as This is the Kit and folk rock duo Rozi Plain.

This week it was announced that Bournemouth locals Coosbay and seven-piece funk pop Bare Jams with members from across Dorset, were the 2016 recipients of the Breakthrough Music Awards, and would also be joining the line up with muchcoveted slots to perform live at the festival.

“The standard of all the acts was incredible, but I can’t wait to see winners Coosbay performing again at the festival in our new venue The Chase. And winners Bare Jams were great - they had everyone up on their feet.

They’re a perfect festival band and I know they’ll be a huge hit at Larmer Tree in July,” says James Shepard, Director.

The festival, with five stages and over 80 acts on the DorsetWiltshire border near Farnham, has an all-new programme of music, comedy, theatre, poetry and more across five days from July 13 to 17.

The much anticipated 2016 line-up features headliners Jamie Cullum, Jack Savoretti, Tom Odell, The Stranglers, Calexico and Caro Emerald.

John Cooper Clarke, Gabrielle Aplin, Afro Celt Sound System, Lau, Steve Knightley and Chris Woods are also on the bill, with late-night comedy stars still to be announced.
