VOCAL trio Blake embark on their latest tour this week and Dorset fans will be the first to catch them when they play the Regent Centre in Christchurch on May 6.

The lads have sold more than a million records and are hitting the road again following appearances on The Graham Norton Show, The One Show and Strictly Come Dancing.

Last year they teamed up with none other than Dame Shirley Bassey to record a Christmas single.

The Goldfinger singer was serenaded by the trio on her 70th birthday, and the idea for a Christmas collaboration cropped up when they bumped into each other at a charity do six months later.

The single featured on Blake’s festive album A Classic Christmas in aid of children’s charities Variety and Noah’s Ark Hospice. If you’ve never seen them before, expect rich vocal harmonies in a mix of pop and classical.

Their latest tour, Blake Live In Concert combines classic songs from their first four albums and songs from their critically acclaimed fifth album In Harmony, which was released in 2014.

Musicals, pop and classical songs collide in the group’s most eclectic stage spectacular yet, accompanied by great musicians and impressive video projections.

Their rat-pack banter is also pretty impressive, and they are bound to have lots of stories from last year when they recorded with Dame Shirley.

Blake have won a Brit Award for Album of the Year and you’ll be able to catch them later this year at the Regent Centre on May 6.
