LOCAL singing duo Shane Board and Hollie Exton have teamed up with BRIT Award winning, music producer Simon Ellis on the song Hero, which was released on Monday as part of Anti Bullying Week.
Simon Ellis also known for being the musical director of Britney Spears, S Club 7 and The Spice Girls has been working with Pop Beats Bullying to write and produce the song that's available to download from iTunes with all money going to the Diana Award.
The charity, Pop Beats Bullying offers support, advice and guidance to all those suffering bullying and the wider effects bullying causes. Their aim is to help those of primary school age all the way through to those being victimised in the workplace using the power of music to combat bullying.
Hollie Exton, 18 from Bournemouth told the Daily Echo: “Due to being bullied at junior school, myself and Shane were very excited to get behind Pop Beats Bullying and work with Simon Ellis to create this track. Knowing that we would be helping others by raising awareness of bullying as well raising money for such a worthy cause meant that we just couldn't say no to this opportunity!”
