SKA band Bad Manners will be performing at Mr Kyps next Friday.

Promising a larger than life performance with distinctive frontman Buster Bloodvessel still at the helm, the audience can expect to party hard on what should be a memorable evening.

The group started out playing rhythm and blues as school pupils in the 1970s but over time they grew to a total of 16 members.

Friends just kept turning up at rehearsals and Buster didn’t have the heart to turn anyone away.

They eventually settled down to nine including their most accomplished musician, sax player Chris Kane from Gerry Cottles Circus, who played during the Elephant and Magic acts.

Between 1980 and 1983, they spent 111 weeks in the UK’s pop charts and the band had 12 hit singles including Lip Up Fatty, My Girl Lollipop and Special Brew.

Bad Manners have always been a non-stop party band and continue to hold that high accolade to this day, touring extensively both in Britain and abroad.
