YOU can break on through to the other side with top tribute band Strange Doors at Mr Kyps this month.
Formed in 2011, the band have become one of the UK ‘s number one tribute acts for the iconic sixties band. The audience at Mr Kyps in Poole on May 17, will be treated to an accurate recreation of a live concert in the sixties by the actual Doors. The band uses the exact instruments used by Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek & Co to get the exact sound just right and the show also includes amazing psychedelic projections through-out.
All the hits will be played, including Light My Fire, People Are Strange and Riders on The Storm, plus a few more obscure numbers for the hardcore Doors fan.
They have performed several times at major UK tribute festivals, and last year played their first headline slot at Festwich Music festival in Manchester. In 2013 they also performed with Jerry Scheff, who played bass guitar on the Doors’ acclaimed L.A. Woman album, and in December performed in Paris as part of the late Doors’ singer Jim Morrison’s seventieth birthday.
