RAVISHING burlesque dames and swinging big band music should make a heady combination next Thursday at Banksy’s Burlesque Espionage Help the Heroes fundraiser.
The Charminster bar is staging the spectacular entertainment featuring seven showgirls from the Retro Bombshell Burlesque School under the direction of the divine Miss Cherry-Pop.
And they need your help!
“We would like to have a Wall of Heroes celebrating the servicemen and women who have put their lives on the line for our country,” says Miss Cherry-Pop.
“As well as the current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, we’d like to add pictures of loved ones who have protected and served our country in any other conflicts past and present.”
With a large repertoire of songs ranging from vintage Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee, to the more contemporary Lavay Smith and Imelda May, the fabulous Miss Annie will take a sentimental journey with her unique blend of rock ’n’ roll attitude with old school charm.
All proceeds will go to the Help The Heroes Foundation. Send your photos to misscherry-pop@live.co.uk
