THE world’s biggest youth film festival is coming to cinemas in Dorset between November 4 and 21. The Into Film Festival aims to use the power of film to captivate young minds and bring learning to life.
Organisers wish to see 300,000 young people, aged from five to 19, attending the festival to watch, make and learn through and about film.
The festival will feature new and classic films, workshops and Q&A sessions with industry professionals and is supported by a range of educational resources to promote discussion and debate around the films.
There are a number of free events and screenings locally in Bournemouth and Poole including Tracks, The Young and Prodigious TS Spivet, The Armstrong Lie, Frozen, The Social Network, Rio 2, The Wind Rises, The Book Thief, Captain Phillips, British Council Shorts 2014 and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
The festival is supported by a number of high-profile people in the film industry such as, Michael Sheen, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Ian McKellen, Steve McQueen and Gurinder Chadha.
