I always enjoyed a good Vader rant. It was brief, to the point and usually ended with body tossed casually aside. He's not what you'd call the chatty sort.

In Battlefront old DV just can't shut the hell up, bleating on and on about just how super the Force is, his particularly dark view of it and how imminent his opponent's demise is at the fuzzy end of a lightsaber.

To be fair, for a Star Wars fan there's not a lot to hate about Battlefront. Vader's leaky monologue and the lack of a single-player campaign are the only two that warrant sharing.

Battlefront is little more than an online playground for those who covet all things Episodes IV-VI. This might irritate those who'd like nothing less than to drive several lightsabers into the bladder of Jar Jar Binks, but perhaps they'll release a relevant DLC at some point.

Whether you plump for 20-on-20 Alliance vs Empire skirmish in the depths of Hoth or Endor, or take to the skies for an aerial pounding, living the battle is the dream of every fan whose viewing of the original trilogy is well into double digits.

Granted, the initial excitement in each mode isn't replicated on repeated attempts. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but the first time you see Boba Fett scream over the action and gun down groups of Rebels is not a feeling easily copied. There is a sense of repetition as the maps don't offer much in the way of variation.

But it's still Star Wars, and Battlefront does a superb job in throwing the gamer in the middle of scenes of their dreams.
