There are few games around which pit four well-endowed ladies of evil setting traps for whittering simpletons so that the Master of Darkness might return to the earthly realm.

For shame, I say, for while the constant subtitles and usual tiresome Anime chatter could and should have been sorted out before its release to the English-speaking market, D4:BT is quite the sadistic little pleasure.

Pushing the very silly story aside (Devil sends barely-clothed demon women to do his bidding), we're all about the traps here. Each room of your particularly uncomfortable abode is divided into a grid and you've got a wealth of devices at your disposal into which you lure your would-be slayers.

Pendulous scythes, giant boulders, wall-spikes and pumpkins (!) fly from the walls and ceilings as the 'heroes' try their damnedest to evict the four very talkative Anime-typical witches.
And there is huge pleasure to be had from watching pitiful humans totter from trap to trap, cleft by a swinging blade, catapulted through the air and headfirst into a waiting bear trap.

There's not much more to it than that, so diversity is somewhat of an issue, but with progression increasing the amount of traps available, gamers who fancy a little computer-generated torture are well provided for.
