AN exotic slice of Cuba can now be found on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth with the recent opening of Revolution Bournemouth.
Formerly Sherbets Lounge, the site has undergone an £800,000 transformation to turn it into a two-in-one vodka and rum bar cantina, featuring an authentic Havana bar serving 50 of the finest rums from the Caribbean and Latin America.
Offering a premium cocktail menu of the greatest vodka and rum classics from around the world and great British food with a Cuban twist, the bar is only one of a handful to incorporate both vodka and rum concepts under one roof.
General manager of the new Revolution, Will Daw, said: “We’re grateful for all the support we’ve received from the people of Bournemouth during the build up to our opening and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoying our stunning new venue.
“We’ve entirely transformed the site right down to the details, with elements of authentic Cuban-style interior, so that customers walking through the door are instantly transported to our glorious world of vodka and rum. We’re confident that our dining and cocktail experience will be well received by Bournemouth’s bar goers and diners,” he added.
The bar aims to attract punters with 50 per cent off food on Mondays and other incentives through a privilege card.
The 800-capacity venue officially launched last month with a lavish party evening of live entertainment including live bands, stunning Cuban dancers and carnival style drummers. Not to mention cocktail master classes, free canapés and drinks samples.
