Annette Brooke MP suffers broken hip after pavement fall

DORSET MP Annette Brooke is laid up in hospital after tripping over a paving stone in London.

The Liberal Democrat member for Mid-Dorset and North Poole suffered a broken hip and wrist and is spending several days in hospital.

She said she had been on her way to work in Westminster when the accident happened. “I tripped on a pavement and ended up in St Thomas’ hospital,” she said.

The MP, who broke the other wrist in a previous fall, said she hoped to be back at work soon.
