We're in the Echo 2010
  • Long established dance writer and critic, Jann Parry, launched a new dance study resource at Bournemouth Library. Ian Abbott, Participation Programme Manager – Pavilion Dance, Jann Parry, dance author and critic and Olga Vikhrova.
  • New St John's Ambulance volunteers Sophie Harding, 17, from Castlepoint, and James Gillingham, 16, from Kinson, celebrate 75 years of the Bournemouth Transport Division.
  • Six budding young people from Bournemouth Rotaract Club ventured out onto the streets of Bournemouth town centre with their yellow buckets for a very worthy cause, Julia's House Pyjama Appeal.
  • Bournemouth and District rail enthusiasts group Somerset and Dorset show in 2010, The group organiser Mervyn Bracey presenting the presenter Jim Bouderoux with a picture of S/D Loco No 88, with club members Alf Loader, Dave Vickers and Roger Stacey.
  • Children and staff at Stower Provost School arrived early on World Book Day, dressed as their favourite book characters, to share breakfast and a story reading session.

  • Pupils and parents at Yarrells School have been collecting milk bottle tops for the Gift of Sight. The Gift of Sight Appeal was established by Professor Andrew Lotery in July 2004 with the aim of funding world-class research into blindness.

  • Corpus Christi pre-school in Boscombe took part in I can chatterbox challenge, helping children to develop their speech and language skills to communicate. They raised £179.80 by singing nursery rhymes, painted as bugs and mini-beasts.
