They were invited to AFC Bournemouth for workshops showcasing skills ranging from cutting hair to programming robots.

The event was organised to raise awareness of new diplomas for 14- to 19-year-olds.
They will be available in Bournemouth and Poole in 11 subject areas from September 2010.
The government has introduced them nationwide to encourage youngsters to stay in education until the age of 18.
Areas covered in the initiative are business administration and finance, construction and the built environment, creative and media, engineering, environmental and land-based studies, hair and beauty studies, hospitality, information technology, health and development, sport and active leisure and travel and tourism.
