THERE will be slightly higher levels of air pollution today as Saharan dust is expected over areas of the UK.
The air pollution level across the conurbation will be moderate, although the worst affected areas will the South East and Kent, forecasters say.
The levels are expected to revert back to low on Tuesday.
When the levels are low, DEFRA advises that adults and children with lung problems, and adults with heart problems, who experience symptoms, should consider reducing strenuous physical activity, particularly outdoors.
This week's weather is looking unsettled with showers, sunny spells and wind making an appearance.
Today, Monday, is predicted to start off with a few showers, before it dries up in the afternoon, with some sunny spells.
Tuesday will be dry all day, with a lovely sunny afternoon and early evening for those free to enjoy it.
And Wednesday will be wet again in the morning before it gets brighter again in the afternoon.
Thursday is looking unsettled in the afternoon, with the outlook for Friday being mainly dry.
It will also feel chilly at night as well, although there are no predicted frosts.
